The Schertz Emergency Hospital project consisted of a 28,000 sq.ft. two-story tilt-wall structure. The first floor is the complete emergency facility, and the second floor provides Medical Office space. The tilt-wall and steel frame structure allow for excellent flexibility in lay-out for the Medical Offices. The interior included high-end architectural features throughout the building, including three form glass wall systems, mixed masonry with interior aluminum soffit panels, wood ceilings, and terrazzo flooring
As this is the flagship and prototype for this area the owner made extensive changes throughout construction. This required strong communications between the Owner, A-E Team, Building Officials, Contractor, and Subcontractors. The Nunnelly Document Management Program kept this line of communication seamless and timely. Due to the level of expertise and efficiency provided by the Project Management Team, the opening date was met despite these significant changes.
