The Nimitz Fine Arts Center project was said to be one of the most complex addition /renovations in its bond package. This project took place on an active campus surrounded by classroom buildings, student drop-off and the bus pick up and drop off. Nunnelly was selected as the best value contractor for the new construction of a new band and choir facility, a complete renovation to the performing arts auditorium and supporting classrooms. The new band hall included an ensemble practice room, band office, state-of-the-art sound practice rooms, and instrument storage. The choir facility included a choir office, state-of-the-art sound practice rooms, and uniform storage. The auditorium renovation included a new stage, theatre stage lighting, stage curtain, and auditorium seating. This project also included several site improvements associated with landscaping and site drainage.
